3 ways to make iced fruit drink recipes this summer
First tip: put a handful of ice cubes

So, if you don’t know, here’s your chance to find out. From classic ice cubes, to crushed frozen fruit and shaved cucumber ice pucks! We’re going to guide you. Intrigued? Read on. And discover how you can easily make these refreshing summer classics yourself.
Aloe mocktail with ice cubes
Fancy a luxuriously smooth smoothie? Keep things simple with the first of our easy summer recipes. Blended aloe gel, cucumber and lime. You'll have a clean, refreshing taste with a sweet citrus kick. Now think handfuls of ice cubes. Can you hear them clink and crack as you pour this deliciously zesty mocktail?
Pro tip: Want the fastest, smoothest blend? Add ingredients in this order: Liquids, powder, solids, frozen. The reason is simple: You want your blades at full speed when you add harder ingredients.
Second tip: Frozen fruit for a richer taste
Don’t get us wrong – we love ice. But it can dilute your summer drink’s flavour. It’s easily fixed. You can add a sweetener, such as agave. Or you can use fruit that’s frozen to begin with. Why? You get a richer tasting smoothie. Naturally sweet. With no need for added sugar. For the smoothest frozen fruit blends, make sure you have the blender you need.
Iced melon drink with frozen fruit
Got five minutes? That’s all you’ll need. You’ll soon be kicking back and sipping this: one of our favourite summer drinks. What’s Iced Melon Drink? Pretty much what it sounds like! Just pour all your ingredients in and get blending. It’s that simple. You just need to freeze your melon chunks the night before. Wait, did we say frozen melon chunks? Yes, we did. That’s your ice and fruit taken care of, all at the same time! Super-sweet, super-fast, and super-refreshing.
Get the KitchenAid blender for the job
Here’s what you need. A blender that throws your ingredients and ice together. And turns them into the smoothest textures and most delicious summer flavours.
Third tip: make a dessert with shaved ice
Let’s stop pretending, shall we? Sometimes, you don’t just want an iced drink. You want a full-on iced dessert! If that’s the case, try Kakigori. It’s a Japanese creation made with exotic fruit (such as papaya or mango) blended with condensed milk. And, yep, it does taste as good as it sounds.
Cucumber granita with shaved ice
The inside of a cucumber stays cool in hot weather (hence the phrase ‘cool as a cucumber’). And if you want to do the same, this summer, then you must try making Cucumber Granita at least once. It makes a wonderful aperitif that helps cleanse your palate before you eat. It’s fun to make, too. You’ll blend your ingredients and freeze them into ‘pucks’ of your ingredients (as in ‘hockey pucks’). Before shaving them with a special attachment to create this fragrant refresher.
Get the Shave Ice attachment for the job
This key attachment means you have everything you need to create shaved ice recipes, such as Kakigori and Cucumber Granita. Works with all stand mixers.
