Ingredients

1 shallot

250 g mixed mushrooms

30 ml sesame oil

30 ml soy sauce

2 green onions

16 wonton wrappers

100 g sesame seeds

neutral oil

water

Step by step

  1. This recipe makes 16 dumplings.

  2. Peel and roughly chop the shallot. Add it to the Bowl of the Cordless Food Chopper.

  3. Tear the mushrooms in half and add them to the Bowl of the Cordless Food Chopper.

  4. Slide the Speed Controller to setting 2 and press down the Pulse/On button to roughly chop the vegetables.

  5. Heat the sesame oil and bake the mushrooms for 8 minutes.

  6. Stir in the soy sauce and the chopped green onion. Cook until almost all water has evaporated. Let cool off.

  7. Make the edge of the wonton wrapper moist and add a tablespoon of the mushroom filling in the middle of the dough. Pinch or fold the dumpling closed.

  8. Dip the bottom side of the dumpling in water and then in the sesame seeds.

  9. Heat some oil in a skillet and bake the dumplings until the sesame seeds are golden. Add the water (careful for splatter) and put the lid on the skillet. Steam for 8 minutes.
