The cleaning LED is blinking, what's happening?

If the cleaning LED is blinking, your KitchenAid Semi automatic espresso machine detects an irregularity on the water volume and hardness level.

Cause Solution
The machine detects the volume of water and hardness level has gone over the specified amount. To cancel the "clean" alarm reminder, you'll need to carry out the "clean" procedure as follows:
  • Press and hold the CLEAN button for 3 seconds to cancel the current selection and set the Clean Cycle. (Mode and Dose selections turn off and Clean lights up at a steady state).
  • Press the START/CANCEL button to run the cycle (full information on this is in the Use & Care Guide).
