Frequently asked questions
My machine has overheated so what do I do?
If your KitchenAid espresso machine overheats, don't worry. The Semi automatic espresso machine with burr grinder is equipped with a system to troubleshoot this situation.
There could be several reasons which you can find below:
Cause | Solution |
---|---|
The espresso machine's NTC temperature control detects that the temperature of the thermocoil is higher than it should be. | The machine will automatically pump water (approximately 100 ml) in order to cool down and will go into shutdown mode. Wait 5 minutes before restarting. |
The temperature of the heating element does not fall to the required temperature after the pump water cools down. | Let the heating element naturally cool down. Allow the machine to go automatically into shutdown mode and then restart after 5 minutes. |
The machine was restarted after being unplugged and the temperature is still not below the required temperature. | The machine will still be in the alarm state if it's restarted too soon. Allow 5 minutes before turning on the machine again. |
